Honeymoon Part 2

A week into our honeymoon we flew to Ft. Lauderdale and stayed in a fun hotel for the night. The Next day we boarded the Celebrity Solstice for our 7 day cruise. This time we took lot's of pictures..

Jake resting his back in the airport.
Jake and his flashing pool cup. We got some 'pirate punch' at the pool on day 1. The bottom of the cup had a flashing light, Jake's was a little crazy and wouldn't turn off. It flashed day & night the whole cruise lol
Opening Show at the theatre. We went to most of the shows but only took a picture the first night.
1 of many strawberry daiquiris (virgin, of course). YUM
Late night snack. The cafe had food 24/7, let's just say we took advantage of it. And the free room service!
Our boat.
1st Port-- George Town, Grand Cayman. We got off the boat and hopped on a van to a beautiful beach nearby. We didnt have to walk too far down, until we had the beach practically to our self. The water was beautiful !
Later in Grand Cayman we did a 'Discover Scuba' excursion. We spent a couple hours learning how to scuba dive, then we practiced with all the gear in a pool. Then we hopped into the ocean and had the most amazing experience! We saw TONS of fish, including a sea horse, stingray, and lots of other cool things..
Port 2: Cozumel, Mexico. We took a big boat out to 3 different coral reefs. It was so much fun! Once again we saw a lot of cool things, but the craziest thing we saw was a GIANT school of fish all swimming in a huge circle together, so cool!

Later in Cozumel we went to an authentic Mexican restaurant. They had AMAZING guacamole that I have since been day dreaming about.
Port 3: Costa Maya, Mexico. We had a low-key time in Costa Maya, but it was nice and relaxing. Every port we spent lots of time looking around the shops for souvenirs. Jake was really focused on Mexican Vanilla. He looked at hundreds of bottles/ prices. In the end we ended up with a giant bottle of Vanilla that was probably the best deal in Mexico, that's my husband : ) Another focus was hammocks, just because they are fun. This picture is Jake trying one out. We ended up buying one in Honduras from an old man that was making them on the beach. Once again.. we got a great deal!
In Costa Maya we took a taxi to a beach, walked around and looked at the shops. Then we saw some massage beds that were right on the beach and also right on the boardwalk. It was so relaxing and also really funny/ slightly embarrassing to expose my funny tan line and hear men speaking Spanish right next to me while talking to my masseuse. I just kept my head down and pretended like they weren't there : )
We set up in auto-timer, embarrassing. lol
Port 3: Roatan, Honduras
Ah, Honduras.. how we miss you!!
We went to a private beach that literally had the most amazing snorkeling right off the beach. We had snorkeling equipment all day so whenever we wanted to we could just hop in and see breath taking fish and coral. I had to do the embarrassing wear-a-tee-shirt-while-swimming thing. My back was SO sun burnt that there was just no way for me to swim with my back exposed for hours. it was worth it!
Here's Jake on the beach. Live music, yummy lemonade & food, beautiful scenery. Take me back!
Us with our 'cute' snorkeling gear.
Day -at-sea. While staying on the boat all day wasn't our favorite. The amazing food made it well worth it.
This is one of many 'baked alaskas'. We also ate creme brulee almost everyday.
Appetizer, Soup/Salad, Entree, & Dessert for every dinner.. whew, let's just say we were full.
Well.. that is our cruise in pictures. We had so much fun and it really made moving in a shock back to the real world!
whew.. I guess I went a little over board on the pictures, oops.

Honeymoon Part 1

Jake & I had an amazing two week honey moon that was so much fun! The first week we stayed at Jake's parent's lake house in Georgia. The weather was wonderful and sunny and the lake was quiet and peaceful. We must have been really exhasted after all the wedding craziness because we slept in until about noon every day, it was wonderful. We pretty much laid low and unfortunetly took NO pictures until the open house.

On Friday night we had an amazing open house at the country club at Lake Arrowhead. The flowers, food, and decor were all beautiful and we had a great time! Here's a few pictures Jarett (Jake's brother) took on my camera.. but there's more pictures to come:

New Blog!

Well it didn't take me long to give in and make a newly-wed blog. I just thought this would be a fun way to keep up with family and friends. I will try to post lots of pictures : )
