Today I did a little photo shoot with by beautiful older sister Brittany. She was a wonderful model & I had fun pretending to be a photographer.

Also, earlier today I found this fun website that has lots of yummy recipes (bonus: they are healthy!). Tonight I made chicken parmesan , grilled zucchini and tomato salad, and herb & buttered noodles. Yum. Check out the recipes here & here.

Have you heard of this guy?

Jimmer Fredette! Well, he's kinda a big deal around BYU. Ok for those of you that were outta-the-loop he's an amazing basketball player. Last week our bball team was ranked No.9 in the nation and SDSU No.4 came to Provo for a bball game.So who cares? Pretty much all of BYU! Getting tickets to the game was crazy, students camped out and formed huge lines in the snow. My lovely husband was one of the crazies who waited outside for hours and hours. And he got us some AMAZING seats! I waited for about 15 minutes, totally worth it.

The game was crazy, the fans were so loud. The student section was standing and screaming the entire time.

We jumped up and down, screamed, cheered, and clapped pretty much the entire time. We had so much fun!

And the best part?.... We won! Yep, beat the Number 4 team by about 10 points

oh ps. we each got t-shirts that were flung into the crowd, I fell backwards and did something I'm not proud of, but you do what you gotta do, right? AND we made it on the jumbo-tron. Yeah, we're kinda a big deal haha

So I hit the jackpot when I married ^this guy. Little did I know that he would play his guitar quietly and sing me to sleep. After he did it once, I have been requesting it all the time. I would have never known how relaxing it was until I experienced it for myself. Lucky me.

Oh, and speaking of Jackpots, the whole Brock family made a little trip to the nickel-cade. Let's just say there were nickel's flying (from me shaking my bags in the air from excitement), lot's of tickets won, and candy bought. Good times.

"Girls" Night?

WE GOT CABIN FEVER! We've been couped up sick in this little apartment and it was time to get out, so we did!

Tonight for our "family night" we did something a little.... different. I was in charge of picking the activity and I took full advantage of that freedom.

First, Jake did my makeup. hahaha yep, start from bare face, "what is this?" "where does this go?" the whole nine yards. Can I just say... SO FUNNY! He started by taking everything out of the drawer that he wanted to use. Then he used the most concentrated face while applying things. He did a pretty good job! I would of liked a little more, uhm, coverage.. but he likes "the natural look." The mascara turned out to be a little tricky, but hey it's tricky for girls too, right?

Then, we went to this little restaurant/ lounge in Provo that has "Mock-tails," for those of you non-Utah residents that would be a non-alcoholic cocktail. They were gooood.

I got a double berry "martini" and Jake got a "Lennonaid" aka a russian lemonade, yum



I got the most delicious berry salad with candied cinnamon pecans...seriously made my night it was SO tasty! Jake got a Caesar that he had to cut up himself. He thought that was weird lol. However, my salad was so tasty that there was no time for anymore picture taking so use your imagination.

He's in charge next week, hopefully we wont be playing video games or looking up camera gadgets, BUT he was such a good sport I'll do almost anything.

Sicky Sick Sick.

One of my (many) new years resolutions is to actually update this blog.. unfortunetly since new years we have been sick, sick, sick! It started the day after we got back from Park City with my family..I got really sick and have been struggling to get get anything done. It has made going to class, cleaning, and sleeping pretty difficult.

This is me lately, I spared you the tissue up the nose look, but trust me, its nice..



Poor Jake has been fighting off this yucky bug for the week and half, sleeping in the same room as me coughing all night until.... his BIRTHDAY. Yep, poor guy got sick on his birthday. Luckily his parents suprised us and cheered him up. They also took care of us by doing laundry, cleaning, and buying soup & medicine.  How do we repay them? SICKNESS.. Yes look out we are spreading it everywhere.

While I'm getting better, Jake is trying to get better while cuddled under lots of blankets and taking lots of this yucky stuff:

On the bright side, last night I was feeling a little better so I finally used this bad boy..

Yep, got this for Christmas and I am SO excited to make lots of yummy things with it.

My sweets jar has been empty for quite sometime now and it makes me feel good to have stuff in there. AND I have been craving peanut butter cookies for a while. Only problem, I like these cookies a lot more than Jake. So much for keeping resolutions

13 days of sickness & counting.. BUT next week I will blog about something exciting we do, because we will be getting better.
